Volcanoes are immense natural features that are capable of massive destruction. Although extinct ones can be places of great natural beauty that many people love to visit and explore. They can be found all over the world, and surprisingly, most of them are said to be underneath the ocean’s surface. Here we have a nice collection of volcano coloring pages for kids and adults.

There are pictures of varying degrees of difficulty and in many different styles. If you are looking to color in one of these fiery mountains, you’ve come to the right place! The first sheets above and below have volcanoes billowing ash into the sky.

Below are a couple of highly detailed drawings. The first coloring sheet features a volcano in the distance through a jungle. The second page has an erupting volcano surrounded by a forest on fire.

Next, we have an interesting landscape design that has some detailed trees in the foreground. Next to that is a drawing of a volcano spewing lava precariously close to some houses.

Below, there is a tropical island scene with palm trees and a hilly landscape with a volcano and pine trees. The skyline in this picture can be colored with different hues of blues or oranges, depending on what time of day you want it to look like.

Then there is a volcano surrounded by rock outcrops on the edge of the ocean. Next to that is a lush valley scene that you can fill with greens and browns to make it really pop!

The final 2 coloring sheets are somewhat abstract and are a nice alternative for those looking for something just a little different.

Dinosaur volcano coloring pages

Next, we have a few volcano coloring sheets that feature dinosaurs, which are great for kids. They are not too complex and are fairly easy to color in for elementary school-aged students. There are a couple of T. rex sheets and a cute Brontosaurus one as well.

If you want to teach learners more about these beasts from the past, have a look at the free dinosaur flashcards. There are also the dinosaur dot-to-dot pages, both of which will help children learn the names of these animals.

Volcano diagrams for coloring

Finally, we have some volcano diagrams you can print out. Two of them are already labeled with the different parts of a volcano. There is also an isometric picture that students can label themselves.

Students at this level will most likely also enjoy discussing the topic, so make sure to check out the volcano questions for conversation, which are not too advanced.
