Here we have some lovely pets coloring pages for kids that have happy animals in all kinds of places and situations. Almost all youngsters love animals and want to have a pet at some time in their childhood. If you don’t want a pet in your home, it would be best not to show them these drawings, as they might get quite excited about one! You shouldn’t fear owning a pet, it has been well-documented that pets are good for our health. Friendship with animals reduces stress and is good for our general well-being.

As expected, these coloring sheets are quite easy, which makes them suitable for younger ages. Although there are some more challenging drawings further down the page.

These pet coloring sheets can also be used in many educational ways. You can use them to teach learners about our domesticated friends and how to look after them. You can also ask children to describe the pictures. This is a great opportunity to reinforce vocabulary about prepositions of place. You can ask learners what animals they see, where they are, what is around or next to them, what other things they can see, and where those things are located.

The first coloring pages above and below feature cats and dogs together. The two pet drawings below are quite interesting. They are kitchen scenes. In the first picture, a cat is washing dishes as a dog carries a towel. In the second picture, a cat is knocking food or kibble down from a kitchen counter for another cat and a puppy to eat.

Next, we have a cat and a dog happily painting pictures at a table. Then there is a naughty dog that has tipped over a laundry basket and is playing with socks. The picture on the right is of a pet shop that has some more animals, including a hamster, a fish, a rabbit, and two birds.

Did you know that in North America, April 11 is National Pet Day? It is a day to think about caring for pets and recognise their companionship. It is also a time to consider the plight of homeless animals.

Below, there is a fat cat on a mat, again in a kitchen. Next to that, we have a backyard scene with a dog, a cat, and a bird that is outside of its cage and perched between the two.
