Here are some instructional how to writing prompts worksheets. They help students learn how to give directions on how to make things. These writing activities are also great for learning and using new nouns and verbs.

Here is an example of how this instructions worksheet might be completed. Note that there are many other ways to do this that are also correct. It depends on each student’s individual imagination, style of writing, and English ability.

Step 1 – Fill a plant pot with soil from the garden.

Step 2 – Take a trowel and dig a small hole in the center of the soil (about five centimeters deep).

Step 3 – Pace some seeds in the hole and gently cover them with more soil.

Step 4 – Use a watering can to wet the soil completely. Make sure water comes out of the bottom of the pot.

Step 5 – Place the pot in a sunny spot and water it regularly.

Step 6 – As your plant grows taller, trim its leaves from time to time to keep it healthy.
