Did you know that July 14th each year is Shark Awareness Day? It is intended to be a day to educate people about sharks and how they are important to our planet’s bodies of water. While there are over 1000 different species of sharks, many of them are now sadly endangered due to human activity, such as commercial fishing and habitat destruction.

Next, we have some lovely pictures of smiling hammerhead sharks to color in. The first 2 drawings have some coral, plants, and fish around the sharks. The third picture is very simple and an easy coloring page for kids.
There are said to be 9 different species of these sharks with funny-shaped heads, and they rarely attack people. Another interesting fact is that they cannot see directly in front of them due to their eye being on opposite sides of their skulls.

These sharks are the largest fish in the world and can grow to over 12 meters in length. Despite their name, they are not related to whales at all, whales are mammals!
They are completely harmless to humans as they feed on plankton and very small fish. There are actually places in the world where it is common for tourists to spend time snorkelling and diving alongside them for a close-up encounter.

Finally, we have some slightly different shark coloring sheets. The first sheet on the left is a drawing of a nurse shark. These sharks, which are bottom feeders, are not very dangerous to people. They can bite if provoked, but it seems there have never been any recorded human fatalities.
Then we have a silly coloring sheet of a shark riding a wave on a surfboard while wearing sunglasses. Next to that, we have a rather simple robot shark with a blank background. The final free printable is of a pirate shark swimming among ocean plants with some other sea creatures around it.
