Fruit matching worksheets
Here is a set of fruits matching worksheets that have a variety of different styles and activities. They are mostly for kids, but at the bottom of the page, you will find a couple of difficult worksheets for older or more advanced English learners. They are perfect for teaching and reinforcing fruit vocabulary in an enjoyable way.

This free printable is a very simple fruit matching worksheet for kids. Learners just need to match the 9 words with the pictures. It is best to get them to write the answer underneath each fruit. They can also add colours and write – pears are green, grapes are purple, and so on. If the students are not yet capable of writing but can read a little, just let them draw lines from the word to the illustrations.

The next 2 match the fruit worksheets involve drawing lines from a fruit to a piece of it cut in half. It is a great way for children to identify fruit visually. Ask them what the names of the fruits are once they are done, and if possible, further questions such as what colors they are, which ones they like, and which ones they dislike. The sheet on the right also gives students a chance to do some coloring as well.
Next, we have a preschool-level worksheet in which youngsters are to match fruits with their shadows. All they need to do is simply draw lines to connect the correct images.

Here we have a slightly different fruit matching activity. There are pictures of fruit cut in half. Once you have printed the PDF, all you need to do is cut out the rectangular cards so they can be matched together. It is a very simple yet fun activity for little ones.
This is a slightly more difficult match the fruits worksheet. While there are only 12 kinds of fruit, there are some slightly less common ones on it, such as pomelo and dragon fruit.
Again, the idea is to write the names of each fruit underneath their pictures. All the names have been provided at the top of the page to make it easier. It is a basic yet effective vocabulary exercise that also helps learners with spelling.
Harder fruit matching worksheets
Below are a couple more challenging worksheets suitable for older learners. They contain many kinds of fruit, including some lesser-known varieties. One alternative thing you can do with the first sheet is cut out the squares and use them to play a memory game or make posters and anchor charts.

If you print these Asian fruits in black and white, it is even more difficult. Try to display the sheet via a projector or monitor if you can, so that students can see the colours.
