Transport tracing worksheets
First up, we have some simple tracing worksheets for young learners. The first page on the left is a simple line tracing activity to help kids practice their pen and pencil skills.
They are to trace different-shaped paths for trains to reach their stations.
Below are 2 somewhat harder vehicle tracing pages which feature a train and a fire engine. All these pages can be colored in and added to once the lines are complete.
Join the dots transport worksheets
Next, there are 2 dot-to-dot activities that require a little number knowledge. Once complete, they reveal a cute bear in the sky with 3 clouds and a happy rabbit on a boat. Students are also to write what they see below the drawings.
Transport matching worksheets
These worksheets all involve matching transport pictures. There is a shadow matching page, a side-on vehicle matching sheet, a close-up picture matching exercise, and a vehicle parts matching page. They are great for preschoolers and early elementary-level kids. You can, however, adapt them for higher levels by asking children to do things such as write transport names on them.

In this activity, kids are to find 9 different modes of transport, count them, and then write down the number they get.

Spot the difference transport worksheet
Here is a fun transport-related spot-the-difference worksheet. There are 10 easy differences for children to find in two pictures of a girl riding a scooter.
A good way to use this printable is to ask kids to circle the different things in one picture; afterwards, they can color in the other drawing and even write about it.

Transport puzzle worksheets
Last of all, we have some transport worksheets for kids that are puzzles. Below is a basic word search that has 8 vehicle names to find. They are written horizontally, vertically, and sometimes backwards.
Next, we have 2 crossword puzzles about transport and vehicles with picture clues. There is a very easy one and a slightly more challenging page. For the first puzzle (left), the first letter of each word has already been given. Once the puzzle is complete, students have 4 questions to answer, mostly about superlatives.
The answers for the crossword are –
1 – Motorbike, 2 – Train, 3 – Truck, 4- Bicycle, 5 – Car, 6 – Airplane, 7 – Ambulance, 8 – Helicopter, 9 – Ship, 10 – Boat, 11 – Taxi, 12 – Bulldozer, 13 – Crane, 14 – Tractor, 15 – Scooter.
For a related activity, you might want to use these handouts with the transport conversation questions. It is also a good topic to practice comparatives and superlatives. To do this, you can ask follow-up questions such as: Which vehicle is the most expensive? What is slower than a car? Just make sure students answer in full sentences so they practice correct grammar structures.
