75 present perfect conversation questions

Present perfect conversation questions

Here we have a list of present perfect conversation questions that can be used in 1 on 1 classes, as pair work, group work, or whole class speaking activities. The 75 questions all use the “Have you ever” form.

There are also some pictures to match with the correct present perfect verbs. Students must find sentences with verbs that match the pictures and write their numbers in the circles.

When you are using these worksheets in a discussion class be sure to ask follow-up questions with what, where, who, why, and how.

Note that depending on geographic location there are some differences in the usage of the past participle form of verbs. For example, spilled is commonly used in North America whereas spilt is preferable in the UK. You can either explain this to your students or simply change the past participle forms of the verbs you disagree with.
