75 present perfect conversation questions

Present perfect conversation questions

Here we have a list of present perfect conversation questions that can be used in 1 on 1 classes, as pair work, group work or whole class speaking activities. The 75 questions all use the have you ever form.

There are also some pictures to match with the correct present perfect verbs. Students must find the sentences with the verbs that match the pictures and write their numbers in the circles.

When you are using these worksheets in a discussion class be sure to ask follow-up questions with what, where, who, why and how.

Note that depending on geographic location there are some differences in the usage of the past participle form of verbs. For example, spilled is commonly used in the UK whereas spilt is preferable in North America. You can either explain this to your students or simply change the past participle forms of the verbs you disagree with.
